Renewable resource - It's in our
nature
In a time
of rapidly diminishing international forestry resources, New Zealand is
assured of a continuing supply of the world's most valuable and
versatile plantation-grown softwood. Radiata Pine, originally a native
of California, thrives in New Zealand soils and climatic conditions.
With large areas of suitable land and the development of unique forest
management techniques, New Zealand is set to lead the world in the
supply of quality softwood timber.
- Recognizing the
diminishing supply of hardwood timber, the group processes only New
Zealand Radiata Pine logs which is a plantation-grown, renewable
softwood resource. The Rangiora (SGS-COC-000268) and Rotorua (SGS-COC-000623)
sites have FSC chain of custody certification. The Nelson site has ISO
9001 certification. We promote products from certified, renewable,
plantation forests. The FSC logo identifies products which contain
wood from well managed forests independently certified in accordance
with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council A.C.
- Commitment to
protecting the environment is demonstrated through its environmental
policy and consistently meeting statutory requirements
- The group
continually monitors environmental performance with regard to reduction
of waste and emissions, effective and efficient use of energy, and the
health and safety of workers.
