or sell Radiata Pine Logs?
A. No, we only produce and sell sawn lumber. Please contact a Forestry company for log export enquries.

A. We only
mill plantation grown Radiata Pine.
Q.
What are your size and length specifications?
A. Our specifications and invoicing are based
on the metric scale. Standard lengths are 1.8, 2.1, 2.4, 2.7, 3.0, 3.3,
3.6, 3.9, 4.2, 4.5, 4.8, 5.1, 5.4, 5.7 and 6.0. Standard thickness'
are 25mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm. Standard widths vary depending
on grade.
Q.
How long does production and shipping take?
A. This depends on stock levels and final destination
but usually 2-6weeks from order date.
Q.
What is your moisture content after kiln drying?
A. We dry our furniture and remanufacturing timber
products to a final moisture content between 8-12%.
Q.
How is the timber shipped and what is the minimum volume I can order?
A. A large percentage of the McAlpines Group timber
is shipped in forty foot containers. The balance is shipped below deck
break-bulk. Approximately 40m3 will fit inside a forty foot container.
Q.
What are the McAlpines Group terms of payment?
A. Payment methods include irrevocable letter
of credit payable on sight of documents or Telegraphic Transfer prior
to shipment. Payment is preferred in United States Dollars, Australian
Dollars or New Zealand Dollars.

What external certification does the McAlpines Group have?
A.
Two sawmills in the McAlpines group have FSC chain of custody certification;
the third has ISO9002 certification.
